Sound the Alarm: Free Smoke Alarm Installation Event
Presented by the American Red Cross, in partnership with the City of Whittier and Regency Church

The American Red Cross is rallying with local partners to save lives through its Sound the Alarm campaign. Join us for a special one-day event to receive FREE smoke alarm installation and home fire safety education — open to all LA County residents!

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, January 17, 2026

• Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• Location: City of Whittier and surrounding areas

• Eligibility: All LA County residents welcome — no special requirements

What to Expect:

• 🚨 Free smoke alarms installed in your home (typically bedrooms & hallways)

• 🧯 Fire escape planning & home safety education

• 🕒 Approx. 30-minute appointments

• 🌐 Available in English and Spanish

• 👷‍♂️ Professional, trained volunteers will visit your home

• ❤️ Red Cross services are inclusive and available to everyone, regardless of background or status
